![]() The Rain & Snow opener had a real nice flow. It is also nice to have a more streamlined copy. While i will always check out the in-between song banter for a show Hurts Me Too is on the DVD that came with Scrapbook. Euro TV aired the show repeatedly over the years in Benelux, France, Germany (BRD), & Denmark, though the live show used different songs than the repeat version. The show was produced for Kongeriget Danmark television (the next show was also shot, for Deutsch TV). Big Railroad is also on the vinyl version of Europe '72 v2. SOURCES: Aside from the superb Bertha SBD (field_34032), there's the full official release. Truckin' - one of the best few from the 17 on tour One More Saturday Night - mid-set rave up Charlie - even played every night this stands out He's Gone - only time they nailed a premier and the best pre-bridge version This is, however, the longest Caution by far - which doesn't mean more happens - in fact they sound tired in this set. It's better than most of the longer ones, though not one of the top '72s. On a tour with several 40min Dark Stars, a 31-minute one isn't unusual. It's as good or better than 4/11 and better even than 5/26. The count-in is clipped on the box set version of Truckin', which seems a standard run-through but erupts into a screamer jam. Big Railroad may be known for the masks they donned but it's also a best-ever. The previous Tivoli has the better Hurts Me Too - on this tour mere above average becomes mediocre! Ramble On Rose is uptempo, with bent double-stops-galore from Bobby and ragtime from Keith! (It too has a Merry-Go-Round). Bobby actually sings the end, rather than the concomitant shred voice™. ![]() It's a raucous, perfect One More Saturday Night - an almost-nightly usual set closer. Sugaree is tight, but '72 is not the year for this one. Playin' has a good tempo and goes off the deep end F A S T even at 10 minutes it's concise and powerful. Charlie was only skipped on tour at the following Beat Club taping, and many are good, but not all are this good. This is a definitive version of Casey Jones with crazy interplay from everybody. Black-Throated Wind is a clunky, underwritten song, but Jer and Keith both find something to add to a tight version. As the band jokes around with levels Keith adds a quick Merry-Go-Round Broke Down. Next Time You See Me is a perfect version. It worked so well that they added it to 10 of the remaining 16 nights - even without the yet-unwritten middle eight. The first He's Gone is way uptempo (why this night and not in London?) and the bridge hadn't been finished yet. This is right before Jer started singing on Jack Straw. Standard fare until a perfect example of the '72 China>Rider. This show was aired on Danish television.įirst Set. It's still one of the top ten shows from E72, and that's tough competition. While not as great overall as the 1st show here, two days prior, that's just 'cause that one's an all-time great. Second date at an amusement park, the day after squeezing in a cafeteria appearance at a nearby college. This is A fantastic show with absolutely wonderful sound.ĭVD audio extraction through flac compression by Gary Field. There appears to be tape machine noise between each song on the original. Though it may appear out of order, it is believed this is due to the show being partially broadcast on French TV and this may have been the end of the TV part of the show.īetween song tuning and banter was removed by someone and is not part of the original release. Frequency and spectral analysis shows the signature to be the same as the rest of the show. A couple of methods were used in fixing the digi-snits, including manually editing individual samples.īobby says "See you later, bye bye" at the end of One More Saturday Night. More than 16 hours was spent fixing most of them. This was a terrible transfer with more than 100 digi-snits throughout the show. ![]() Digitally Remastered using the Bertha Digital Audio Workstation by Completed April 14, 2006.
